I've been so into Krzysztof Penderecki's works from the 60's, lately. The atmospheres to some of his pieces are mind boggling.

Gabriels Oboe - Ennio Morricone (Loved this piece of music for ages and have only just found out recently it's name, who it was by and that it was part of the soundtrack to the film The Mission!)

Adagio For Strings - Samuel Barber

The Blue Danube - Strauss

In The Hall Of The Mountain King - Grieg

There's more but these are the ones that come to mind at the moment!
