Sergio Leone was the director of many of these not the composer. For that you want Ennio Morricone who is a brilliant composer but certainly not underated.

I 100% agree, but I'm more into the Prelude Op. 74 No. 2...Yeah I know it's more popular, but it really shows how deranged his mind worked and how it transposed into his music.

LOL, the topic is about "underrated" composer and you're talking about Bach Chopin and Beethoven... I think the human respiratory system is underrated lmao
and I'll agree with X-One, Scriabin would be my choice too, less accessible but incredible if you bother listening carefully. etude op 8 no 12 is one of my favorite (Evgeny Kissin has the best recording of it on youtube) |

Honestly? I would say all composers that are underrated are the ones that people that do not play or know much about classical music do not know.
If you mention Beethoven, Mozart, or Bach, they'll know. But if you mention Debussy, Schumann, or Prokofiev, they'll have no idea.. My theory may be incorrect, but that's what I think. |
