I listen to it almost every day and I'm not even an old granny I find it to be the most dark, evocative, poignant and endearing type of music there is.

I'm a very big fan of Claude Debussy, Yann Tierson, the great Mozart of course, Puccini, Bach, Yo-Yo Ma, Michael Nymen, Giuseppe Verdi to name but a few. Classical music touches upon the 'divine'. Without sounding over the top that is. It often transcends race, creed and culture.

I'm particularly partial to weeping flutes and solemn violin concertos. I find it utterly despairing when people ask me how I can listen to Classical music because they find it 'boring' or 'depressing'. It surprises me how close minded people still are to this music.
