Default John Zorn

This guy has done lots of different music, from the Naked City days to his later solo efforts, but one of the styles that stands out the most is a sort of avantgarde neo-classical music that, at times, reaches the level of plain noise. This is the stuff you'd find in quirky college art films, but it's quite interesting to listen to and appreciate alone. Try The Circle Maker and Angelus Novus for a taste of his genius.

Naked City is a masterpiece in musical dexterity and genre baiting. However it is not an album I listen to a regular basis.

I've only heard of the stuff he did with Mike Patton, like Hemophiliac. And it sounds good... not the easiest to listen to, but pretty good..

it has talent, but not aesthetic quality.
