help me out.

im looking to get into some classical, i was listening to the radio the other day, and heard some songs i liked, but didnt have any paper or such to write down, and there was no way i was remembering what the composer's name was. (it was long).
So, anywho. Can someone reccomend me some classical orchestral stuff. That is more on the fast side, i want something powerful, passionate, and all round rad.
Something like "The Last of the Mohicans" soundtrack. (best ever)

I love Rossini and would HIGHLY recommend his music to you! It is very vibrant and powerful. My mom said she used to blast the William Tell Overture when we were kids and we would come running from every direction to hear it! When you play Rossini loud on a good system, you can feel the breeze coming from your speakers and the hairs all over your body stand on end! There's nothing like it!

sweet. So Rossini is a composer, and i should get the album with the Wiiliam tell overture on it?

Yes, definitely! Hope that helps.

How about Russian composers?
They are all very powerful, Rachmaninov (piano concertos - amazing!), Dvorak,Prokofiev(Romeo&Juliet), Rimsky-Korsakov(Capricho espanol),Shostakovich & Igor Stravinsky ("The Fire Bird")

I'm sure there are hundreds of amazing composers. I'm not a connoisseur of classical music. I just happen to like Rossini. I prefer classic rock myself.
