The countryside is greening and rubbing the sleep out of it's eyes after a really long, bitter one, so the Kinks are on the cards again. I was spring cleaning the hard drive and found an alphabetical list of favourite songs, which I also uploaded many moons ago. Conspicuously short on Village Green tracks...:

Oh and they're all in m4a. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Is that bad? Windows XP has a built-in thing for converting audio format, I know that much
As you may have gathered I reside in the sticks in a not-too-shabby rented property with my parents, no big kicks but it's in the middle of nowhere and nowhere can compare to the English countryside in the summertime.
I went through a big period of pastoral whimsy characterized by the Kinks, the Young Knives and early Blur albums... lots of real ale, battenburg cake and tea, going for walks, corduroy, that sort of thing. My favourite memory from this time is visiting some friends in Dorset (around 8 hours of coach rides to the south of England), smoking lots of dope and drinking cider at a tiny local music festival at which they were playing, sitting on the roof of someone's car listening to Pulp really loud in a field. They're a nice bunch. Oh and I saw Billy Childish again, which is always a pleasure.
