You can also use Rate Your Music. They have a charts feature which I use to find new music.

Check out the mutant sounds blog.
I assume most if not all of the links are dead but you'll be able to find most of the stuff on soulseek.

I've been using mutant sounds for awhile, but the the stuff on there has been getting really slow.
