Japan just does weird better than anywhere else. I mean seriously, who else would think to serve raw fish and incorporate octopuses into erotica? Anywho, Melt-Banana are a Japanese band that melt faces with their awesome experimental noise rockin' punk. These guys (and gals) released a new album this year that's pretty kickin and are continuing to drift into more accessible (I use the term lightly) territory with songs that are more structured as opposed to sounding like they may have been made up on the spot (joke). They've toured with and worked with the likes of The Locust, John Zorn, Melvins, Shellac, others. Kurt Cobain was a fan when they only had one album out. Check um out if you haven't already.
