I really like the album. I understand why people could find Walker annoying, but I am a big fan. And in a way this album is much more accessible than his solo stuff.

We'll see where I stand when I can hear a full track/album though, because a Sunn O))) track is really a journey, who knows, maybe in context Walker sounds a bit more appropriate. It's kind of like listening to an inspiring speech from a film that relies on context and character development to really be a great speech, but stripped of its surroundings it kind of disappoints.

Or maybe I'm just a huge Sunn O))) fanboy that I'd justify anything they did.
The compositions are by Walker as well. Sunn basically played music that was meticulously composed by him.

That is a wonderful description. And also why he leaves me a bit dry. Not generally a huge fan of vibrato, except for some solo classical pieces. Buuuut. Sun O))) is great. So I will likely listen to this at least once...

This reminds me of Phantom of the Opera-

And that's not good.

Jello with the Melvins. Johnny Marr with Modest Mouse. Lou Reed with Metallica. BBQ chicken pizza.

Just stop.
