The original vinyl releases of Winter Songs and Hopes & Fears were released by Ralph

From their artists im into Snakefinger, Renaldo, Art Bears, Residents and recently i've been trying to get into Nash and R&N but i haven't really found any great songs from them except this one that's kinda good.

Im still exploring which artist from Ralph are worth getting into, any recs are welcomed.

Today I listened to the Ralph Records 10th Anniversary Radio Special, which was recorded in 1982. The whole idea was apparently to lock Penn Jilette (whoever he is?) in to a hotel room for six days, provided only with the whole Ralph Records discography and a tape recorder. He was to listen through all records and talk about them in a diary like fashion, for a celebratory like promo vinyl release (don't think it ever was a radio show(?)). It says they had about 60 hours of Penn Jilette-talk and edited it down to a 75 minute 2XLP release. It was partly a fun listen, but not as informative as I hoped it'd be. And it's very awkwardly edited, which I had some issues with to begin with. Don't know if it's just part of the label's overall absurdity nature, or what that was all about. However, it might be worth a listen for those of you interested. Snippets of bunch of label releases throughout aswell.

OK, so maybe you're young? Do you know who Penn & Teller are?

Well, I'm in my early 30's!
Never heard of Penn & Teller. Am I making a fool of myself?

Sorry, I apologize. There's plenty of famous entertainers that I don't know.
I was just surprised to see this. They are well-known magicians with
Penn Jillette, let's say, a particularly "controversial" character.

No worries!
As far as that sorts of entertainers go they've allways just passed right by me. My mind tend to filter it all away. Let's say it is not my thing. Never been much for comedy...
