Secret Society in Smaller Lies
I figured I'd do this here, because I have no other place to put them.
I apologize for the fact that it's a band that has sprung up from literally people in my teen years. All of them are from my home town, and I was in a band with one of them, and their drummer used to drive me to school. I don't mean to promote them, but it's one of those situations where a band that contains old friends, bandmates and acquaintances simply deserves the right beyond that fact alone. I am pleased to introduce Secret Society in Smaller Lies: secret society in smaller lies 'beggars in the palace' - YouTube Their bassist, Cory Bergeron, was a really wicked punk guitarist back when I played with him. He's the really fat guy (and proud of it), as you will see in the following video. I don't know why he switched, but yea. The drummer is Tony Bergeron, and wow, he is a phenomenal drummer. He doesn't show it with this genre, but I have seen him play, for various genres, and he not only does it right, but he does it with feeling. Marc Miller is another band member that I did the whole high school thing with, and strangely for me, he plays guitar in this band. Their singer, I have no clue who he is. Here's one of their old live shows. I wish they had more videos. I also wish that I could afford to go back to my hometown and watch them live. I'd also love to record them. I've contacted Tony and told him I would gladly do it for free. It's just in the wind at this point. Oh wait. Found another one. Great bunch of guys though. If they ever grow beyond the hometown, you heard it here first. I literally haven't seen these guys in person since around '97, and the screwed up part of it is they only live about an hour and a half away. I just never get the opportunity to drive back there. When I do, I might bring some recording equipment and record them. If that ever happens, I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving away the recordings.
