Another eclectic project from genius Dan Barrett (Have a Nice Life, Nahvalr). He was writing acoustic songs, but tried to kill himself, he did not prevail, and now we have a fantastic avant-folk s/t album. It's indescribable, really. It's rooted deeply in folk, with shoegaze and lo-fi synthy ambient breaking through. It's hopeless and depressing, and just plain incredible. Obtaining this album will do you wonders.

This album frustrates me, it's a great album, but it's just shy of being a classic in my book. The mood and production are amazing but the actual songwriting feels kind of shoehorned in, like there is a disconnect between what his vision for the album was and what his songwriting skills are actually capable of producing.

Good album, the first track is almost too messy with all the reverb though
very spooky though
