Have a Nice Life
Formed by Tim Macuga, of the cathartic and enigmatical, psychosis-inducing black metal project Nahvalr, and Dan Barret, from Giles Corey and In Pieces, Have a Nice Life are a rather calm, genre splicing duo from Connecticut. Their debut, Deathconsciousness is a masterpiece of modern music. They take the black metal guitar work, add a wall of sound, throw in some droning post-rock, some mellow acoustic parts, and blend it together with an atmospheric and electronic overtone.

Yeah Deathconsciousness is great, The Future being the marginally stronger of the two parts. Keep intending to look into Giles Corey, Nahvalr is good shit.

Yeah, I love the debut album (albums?). Their second work is also good, a little different. More electronic, possibly.
|
Holy ****, you should, Giles Corey is too good. Extremely hopeless folk based stuff, shoegazey, synthy, sometimes brooding and epic.

Sold, I'm on it.

Great album but so many people have the wrong tracklisting due to a mess up on the initial release
