Syzygys (japanese band)
Just found this band and I'm really quite liking what I hear.
It's described as "Microtuned Pop" probably because it's pop songs played using Harry Partch's 43 note microtonal scale. The dissonance can be weird at first but you get used to it. Have you heard some of the experimental Japanese 60's music like Takeshi Terauchi: |
I'll give it a listen
And the track I linked is probably the least atonal of the bunch, I've put a download link in the first post so you can hear the rest. |
You sir are a fine gent :)
I'm really enjoying it actually, your recommendations this year have been fantastic I might observe. You'd make a better moderator than jayshredds in my opinion ;) |
Awesome :D
What else have you enjoyed? |
Well, I actually liked "Feedbacker", to be quite honest! That and of course "Laminate Pet Animal", de-capitalised for your convenience!
I'm really enjoying this too - so thanks! |

Damn, I got the wrong date, it's NOT April the first.

You had me at microtonal pop.
Great suggestion. :) (Also looking into Salami's suggestion) |
