Syzygys (japanese band)

Just found this band and I'm really quite liking what I hear.

It's described as "Microtuned Pop" probably because it's pop songs played using Harry Partch's 43 note microtonal scale.

The dissonance can be weird at first but you get used to it.

I actually liked it immediately, mate.

Have you heard some of the experimental Japanese 60's music like Takeshi Terauchi:

I'll give it a listen

And the track I linked is probably the least atonal of the bunch, I've put a download link in the first post so you can hear the rest.

You sir are a fine gent :)

I'm really enjoying it actually, your recommendations this year have been fantastic I might observe. You'd make a better moderator than jayshredds in my opinion ;)

Awesome :D

What else have you enjoyed?

Well, I actually liked "Feedbacker", to be quite honest! That and of course "Laminate Pet Animal", de-capitalised for your convenience!

I'm really enjoying this too - so thanks!

Damn, I got the wrong date, it's NOT April the first.

You had me at microtonal pop.

Great suggestion. :)

(Also looking into Salami's suggestion)
