Active in the 80s, Viv Akauldren were, what can best be described as, an electronic-psychedelic oddity from Detroit. They employed a wildly eclectic plethora of musical influences into their music; ranging from the likes of Gong and Hawkwind all the way through to ambient/minimalist soundscapes, with world music a ubiquitous element in their output.
The albums Witness, I'll Call You Sometime and Vivian's Fountain are all excellent - as is Keir McDonald's solo project, Medusa Cyclone. Vids: Last edited by Sneer; 02-21-2011 at 08:37 PM. |
