We are going to discuss Phew after weekend. This is a voting for the next album, the one you'll be listening through the next week.

Well I voted for my own (Alva Noto) this time around since the poor guy didn't get any votes last time.

Oh, okay. Quick question, though. Is Comus considered experimental? Or are they just progressive/folk?

I haven't listened to Comus, but going by the description and some of the songs I've heard, I think it would be a perfect fit for http://www.musicbanter.com/prog-psyc...lbum-club.html. You can suggest it there if it isn't already suggested.

Can we still nominate albums, or do we wait until the the list is cleared?

i'm sorry man....i forgot to vote on the last one....and had planned to vote for it.....made up for it this time......those Xerox albums to me to new heights

Comus is actually pretty straight forward in what they did....their most experimental thing is the fact that they spoke of rape and murder and insanity in the late 60s

Yeah you can suggest an album. I'll include it in the next poll.

If anybody can't vote please tell me. I'm not sure if I edited the poll just right.

I'll vote Transform to because the description of the Instrumentation intrigued me.

--------------------------
For next round:

I'd like to nominate AMM's AMMMusic. The first release from what might possibly be the first ever noise band. They never rehearsed, never spoke to each other, and that was including during performances. There was no preparation, no planning, simply music. Instruments range from everything from prepared piano, to violin, to transistor radios, to household items. If anything is the epitome of what Avant-garde stands for as a concept it's AMMMusic.

Not only that, there's a certain very compelling dramatic effect to the way AMM puts things together(or falls into place, rather). It's some of the most unnerving, eerie music I've heard in my life, and the way it just transitions from phase to phase so smoothly brings deeper into it's own dark atmosphere.

Glad you're enjoying them. It might also interest you to know he's also done a couple albums with Blixa Bargeld. I have haven't heard them yet but I'm pretty curious what they sound like.
