yes!....this site is amazing....i feel like a school boy in his first candy store :)

i just watched a bunch of Muehl's films while Swans Children of God played.....to quote Belinda Carlisle....heaven is indeed a place on earth

somewhere on Brainwashed is an interview with Genesis P-Orridge about his time at the Actionist "art commune".....sounded more like artist degradation/boot camp

the suggestion is celebrating his announcement to start film part 3 of the IT trilogy :)

I was lucky enough to see Crispin in person at a showing of "It is Fine...". He did a long introduction and a very thoughtful Q&A afterwards.
He's an extremely down-to-earth person and he talked a lot about how he has always saved up his Hollywood money to make his own films. Possibly the coolest man in the world.
His dad, Bruce (also a film actor), was in the audience and was out selling merch afterwards.
It was a watershed moment of my life.

bob. 02-01-2011 06:59 PM

i have to say that out of the two i enjoy IT is Fine a little bit more....i just really liked the linear story vs the Dadaist film making....although both are wonderful

and yeah he really is such an approachable person....even for a fanboy like me :)

OccultHawk 02-02-2011 04:42 AM

Is someone gonna give me a linky burn of Watashi Dake?

dankrsta 02-02-2011 04:56 AM

I found something. It's on your way.

OccultHawk 02-03-2011 11:52 AM

I got some **** called antivirus.net trying to download this thing.

How do i delete Antivirus.net? - Yahoo! Answers

I don't know what link it came from because I googled for it myself and tried a couple different ones.

dankrsta 02-03-2011 12:54 PM

What? The link I sent you didn't work after all? Strange, it worked for me

Ska Lagos Jew Sun Ra 02-03-2011 03:44 PM

Did you click on any pop-ups or images? Cause I got it too.

OccultHawk 02-03-2011 04:01 PM

You got the music or the spyware?

I think I clicked something wrong or some stupid **** and I tried it from two different links at the same time like an idiot

anyway i did get the music downloaded and gave it a listen

Ska Lagos Jew Sun Ra 02-03-2011 05:16 PM

The music. Not the spyware.

dankrsta 02-04-2011 05:19 AM

The new poll is up. If it's not working now for everybody, then **** it, I will open a new thread for it. But for now, vote here once more.

Janszoon 02-04-2011 05:44 AM

Voted Flux again.

OccultHawk 02-04-2011 07:53 AM

Three in a row for the Branca.

bob. 02-04-2011 09:18 AM

Flux Information Science

hey...considering the Watashi Dake...did everyone get the remastered version with the extra tracks?

dankrsta 02-04-2011 02:01 PM

Yeah I got the remastered version. Thirteen tracks, right?

Btw, if anybody can't vote, please tell me. I need to know! I did something else this time, but if it still doesn't work for everybody then I'll give up and open a new thread for the poll next time.

clutnuckle 02-04-2011 02:16 PM

Thirteen tracks is the one I've got. Listening to it right now, as a matter of fact.

Voting process is even working for me this week.

Ska Lagos Jew Sun Ra 02-04-2011 03:03 PM

No idea. had a half hour long track of guitar feedback, if that helps.

Yup, that one (along with the track that precedes it) qualify it as the reissued version.

dankrsta 02-07-2011 11:37 AM

Next on the 'listening plate' is Flux Information Sciences - Private/Public

Flux Information Sciences - Private/Public

Flux Information Sciences challenges the listener....with creative chaotic artistic terrorism by combining the 'no wave' sound with assaults of bombastic noise.....they are however as playful as they are menacing...this album was released on Michael Gira's Young God Records who said [they are]"Life-threatening and entertaining"....the rumor according to the Young Gods press release is that this album was recorded in front of a live audience of people who were forced to be naked and blindfolded....

edit....figured i'd add the press release

PRIVATE / PUBLIC - Flux Information Sciences | Flux Information Sciences | YOUNG GOD RECORDS

If you could send the link, then that would be great.

ThePhanastasio 02-10-2011 03:30 AM

I'm still looking - found one, but it was password protected. Going to check the torrent trackers I'm on, then get back to you - but I may need a link.

bob. 02-10-2011 09:43 AM

I've been sticking with Branca every week. One of these days! I don't really care who wins though, it's fun no matter what. :tramp:

dankrsta 02-14-2011 04:01 AM

And the winner is AMM - AMMMusic. Can't wait to listen to this :D

I'd like to nominate AMM's AMMMusic. The first release from what might possibly be the first ever noise band. They never rehearsed, never spoke to each other, and that was including during performances. There was no preparation, no planning, simply music. Instruments range from everything from prepared piano, to violin, to transistor radios, to household items. If anything is the epitome of what Avant-garde stands for as a concept it's AMMMusic.

Not only that, there's a certain very compelling dramatic effect to the way AMM puts things together(or falls into place, rather). It's some of the most unnerving, eerie music I've heard in my life, and the way it just transitions from phase to phase so smoothly brings deeper into it's own dark atmosphere.

clutnuckle 02-14-2011 02:03 PM

I have a strong feeling I am going to ****ing love this. I have a 320kbps rapidshare link (I know, I know, but the nice bitrate justifies such a terrible wait) if anyone needs it.

TockTockTock 02-14-2011 04:59 PM

I don't know about this. It seems like something I won't end up liking.

Why not try giving it a listen before jumping to conclusions about it?

Nobody's jumping to conclusions. I've already listened to a few tracks, and so far I'm not too thrilled about it. If I'm jumping to conclusions then Clutnuckle is too.
