Spectrum A#@holes ?

Hello fellow banterer's, i usually try not to complain about things but this has really pissed me off, some of you might agree with me and some of you wont, i tried to put a track in here of what used to be one of my favorite bands, spectrum, which they have blocked out, some of you will agree with that but why?, i was trying to introduce people to there music, is that wrong?, i posted a track in here under the bands name and the name of the track and what album the track was off, where's the copyright breach there? i didn't put it in under a different name? i wasn't copying it off for profit? thats what music forums were for i thought, to introduce people to bands they haven't heard before, maybe i'm wrong?
personally myself i'm sick and tiered of the stuck up pretentious attitude of some musicians and bands, they expect to record one song or one album and live off the royalties for the rest of there lives, some of you in here will be musicians and you would be happy to get the exposure for your music, some of you in here will be builders, and plumber's, can a builder build a house and then charge for usage of anyone that comes round to your house or if someone stays the night or moves in even, no they can't, can a plumber charge a continuos fee for usage of the plumbing work he has done? no he can't, i myself am a carpainter by trade, can i charge people for on going enjoyment of my paintwork? no, i'm also a visual artist and also do custom airbrush art, and i've had my artwork on the net, and can i stop people from downloading it? no i can't, i've done a lot of custom airbrush art on cars, does that mean that no one is allowed to take a foto of it? does that mean that hotrod and motorcycle mags can't take pictures of my work and put it in there mags? no it doesn't, people have downloaded and copied off my artwork, can i stop them from doing that? no, am i allowed to charge them for that? no, people have taken pictures of my custom airbrush paintwork on cars and bikes before and they have put them in magazines, and without my name, can i charge them for that? no, can i take the magazines to court for putting my work in there mags without my permission let alone without my name attached to it? no i can't, i've had people blatantly copy my work onto other peoples cars as there own artwork under there own names, can i stop that? no, i've had signwriters blatantly copy my ideas and using my ideas to make signs with, and they've won sign awards with my ideas under there own name, can i do anything about that? no, hell i've even had someone advertise themselves as a custom paint shop with literally my own work, can i stop all this no. so whats with this stuckup attitude some musicians have, do they think they are better than the rest of us? do they think they are worth more than us, when was the last time you saw a song build you a house? when was the last time you saw a song fix your plumbing? and these stuck up ****heads think they are worth more than us, i've got news for you spectrum, your not! god forbid you might have to go out and actually do some gigs to earn a living, how hard done by you are spectrum, there are thousands of other bands out there that would be extremly happy with someone pumping there music, i was trying to introduce people to your music but i will never "pay" for another spectrum, sonic boom, experimental audio research, or spacemen 3 album ever again.

Not quite sure what you're talking about... Do you mean your thread was deleted? It would help if you were a little more specific.

I had posted up one of those you tube links in another thread called your strangest music which they (spectrum) came in and deleted it and i can't understand why i named the band the track and what album it was off, i just can't see the copyright breach in that?

In a lot of cases it's not the band removing stuff but the record company / management.

I know of one guy who was in a post punk band in the early 80s. He put up a download of one of their albums that had been out of print for over 20 years.

The guy who owned the current rights to the album sent him a cease & desist letter.

So if the guy who wrote & performed those songs is not even allowed to put his own work up on his own website, what chance the rest of us?

consider this your first lesson in business.

you never owned or had any right to use any aspect of the media you posted or linked to and other people established that they do in fact have legal control of that material by removing it's uncontrolled use.

just because you can promote a band doesn't mean that band wants you to promote them.

I don't fully understand the situation but I assume your beef is with the folks who run youtube and google, and the financiers of the music you tried to post.

I found that thread you speak of. There was a Spectrum vid in there amongst the other 80 youtube vids you linked. http://www.musicbanter.com/avant-gar...hatever-7.html you should be all set, unless you were talking about something else.
