Ruins is a great suggestion, their drummer is unbelievable. I much prefer them to Melt Banana, although Boredoms will always be my favourite Japanese band.

Oh yeah! How could have I forgotten them. They are easily my favorite along with Throbbing Gristle.

Edit: I have to look into Ruins. I haven't listened to them.

I'll need to check out the majority of those bands you mentioned Dankrsta. I've heard Einsturzende, NWW and Throbbing Gristle/Psychic TV but the rest, I've never listened to. Heard good things about SPK and Test Dept though, so I'll probably start with them.

SPK and Test Dept are both good choices. And if you like heavy percussion don't miss Z'EV.

What would be a good Thinking Plague album to start with?

"In This Life" is a masterpiece. "Moonsongs"(It's on both "In This Life", and "Moonsongs". Pretty much the same version, if memory serves.) could quite possibly be my favorite song of all time.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
