Im a huge fan of The Devil Isnt Red.
Great band, I hear theyre down to a two-piece again for their next album due out in 2010

As "meh" as I feel towards the new lineup, that'd be kind of a stupid thing to do. They need to progress into new things rather than just going back to the start, and a 5 person lineup gives them way more opportunity than just 2 people.

I discovered these guys on Pandora Radio.
I gotta say, I liked what I've heard so far. Very in the vein of Dysrhythmia and Noxagt.

I like the idea of having more people in the lineup as it opens up so many moroe possiblities. It did allow them to play songs from church gone wild/chirpin hard live because they had people to play the bass, keyboard, vocals and other things. Their latest album wasn't really an example of what they could do as a 5 piece in my opinion.

Pandora never worked for me. I would put in a band like Naked city and come to conclusion that I like bands with "heavy metal roots," "experimentation," and "fast time signiture changes." So, it would give me bands that meet even just one part of that criteria. So the next song would be like Slipknot or something because it met the "heavy metal roots" criteria. I found a few bands on there (The Locust), but it just didn't play enough of what I liked. Last.fm works so much better since it goes by similar bands instead of just similar traits in the music.

exactly

The new lineup is good, it's just what they're doing with it that I don't like that much. Can you imagine a song like Biblical Violence with 3 guitars? It'd be fucking immense, they just need to concentrate more on instrumentation with the next album and minimize the singing or drop it entirely.

Sweet Jesus ****! How can they keep it up like that for such a long time?!
