I don't know how many people around here are aware of either Nurse With Wound or the infamous list of 'outsider music' that accompanied their (brilliant) debut record 'Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella' but I've been exploring the list for quite a while now and have discovered loads of fascinating artists through it (and, I'll be the first to admit, some pretty mediocre stuff as well). Anyway, for anyone interested in exploring the avant-garde or experimental this list is an invaluable point of reference. It's frequently referred to as a type of 'shopping list' for collectors of obscure records and from scanning the list it’s easy to see why.
