These are two things that aren't finished. In fact, they're both more or less just 4 chord progressions with very simple melodies. I figure I could make them both into individual tracks, and they could both be great pieces of music.
The first one is going to be called With Doves, and it was inspired by a song I heard by The Album Leaf. What do you think of the overall feel? How do you interpret the music? Is there enough going on for now to keep it interesting? By the way, it is going to go silent just after the minute mark because that's where I'm up to so far. There is more there, but I muted it because it was unfinished. The guitar is a bit rough and I'll be posting a new take in a minute or two. Anyways.... https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.p...TWNlcEpMWEE9PQ Updated guitar - https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.p...Q3RwaFIzZUE9PQ Edit - I made a slightly more involving version, and have it through the second melodic theme now. Do you like it more involving, or did you prefer it more ambient? I'm also unsure of whether or not I like all of the layers of the lead melody. The whole thing is still a work in progress I guess, but anyways... https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.p...MHdoMlZMWEE9PQ The second track is just a simple idea I made a while ago after being introduced to M83. I wanted to make a track like their outros, that was really simple, but carried for a really long time. As of now the whole progression just repeats twice and that's the end of it. It's going to be much longer before it's finished. Anyways, what do you think? Do you like it? Is it too similar to the other track? Do you like the simplicity of the harmony and melody? I'd love any thoughts you may have, good or bad. https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.p...UEN0NitGa1E9PQ Anyways, I hope you enjoy, and thank you in advance for listening. Edit - Apparently putfile doesn't want to take the second file, so you'll have to use the yousendit link. Last edited by Blue; 12-13-2008 at 09:29 PM. |
