I'd love to hear them live to, but I think doing that would make my ears bleed. They boast that they're the loudest band in New York, and just by listening to their first album I believe, maybe even louder than MBV? I really need to check there new album if I can find it.

Those live videos make me think that I could maybe get into them. I can't sit through much of their album though. To me they sound like an MBV copy without any soul.

If anything they sound more like Joy Division and JAMC with ****loads of noise. Whenever a band has shoegaze tendancies the band My Bloody Valentine is always mentioned... I'm starting to get sick of it really.

And a little dash of the Church, Sisters of Mercy, even a little very early REM. But I agree with you, they don't sound much like MBV at all.
