Amon Duul II
Cluster
Cosmic Jokers
Agitation Free

I like those bands quite a bit. Faust and Can are definitely my favourites though.

Faust are my favourites. Faust IV is possibly my favourite ever album and the 3 before that are top 10 albums too.

I listened to Faust IV and their first album yesterday. They're both masterpieces in my opinion.

Totally, The Faust Tapes and So Far are great as well. I actually rate the S/T the lowest from their first four but it's still fantastic.

Faust IV and So Far are my favourites. I've still not properly got into the Faust Tapes, I'm going to give that a listen sometime in the next few days though.

What about Neu, do you like them? They're the one krautrock band it really took me a while to 'get' (except Hallogallo, always loved that song) ... but eventually I came round. Amazing band when they're at their best.

Yeah Neu! are my second favourite Krautrock artist Neu 75 is my favourite by them, fantastic album. Kraftwerk are great too. Can, I find to be great but they really are overrated compared to Faust and Neu!. Cluster are my 2nd favourite ambient artist(first being The KLF) and are also brilliant.

I think within the krautock spectrum Can are slightly overrated, in the sense that they're far more well known than bands like Faust and Neu who are just as good as Can at times. But I don't think they're that overrated compared to bands like the Sex Pistols, Oasis and the Smashing Pumpkins (I don't mind the Smashing Pumpkins, but I think they're awfully overrated). It's all just down to personal taste in the end, of course.

For the record, I love the s'hit out of Can regardless!

Cluster are brilliant, although I have to confess I've never heard The KLM so maybe I should check that out!

Yeah, well obviously Can aren't overrated in general, it's not like everyone has heard of them. But in Krautrock most definetely.

I also like 71 Minutes of Faust which is in fact, as I found out, an expanded version of Munich and Elsewhere. I especially like the title track, which is in my version of the album called Munic A.

And Neu...they're my favorite kraut rock band and it was a love on the first listen. Negativland hooked me completely and it remains my favorite Neu song.

Negativland is indeed their best song I think. It was mostly the Neu! songs with the odd vocals that totally put me off at first, but I love them now.
