thats actually kind of hard.....Swans have been around for quite sometime and have changed their "sound" practically with each album.....although they stick to a general feeling which the music invokes...

I suppose the closest thing we could get to that is Children Of God... Here, try these out: Swans: Sex, God, Sex - YouTube Beautiful Child - Swans - YouTube Swans - Blackmail - YouTube After listening do you want heavier, lighter or more experimental generally? |
I have just recently began exploring the music of Swans. I am not too fond of the early industrial stuff(Though I have not given it too much of a chance), however I am completely infatuated with their early 90s stuff. White Light From the Mouth of Infinity and The Great Annihilator are all I have been able to absorb so far as the Swans are anything but easy listening, but I definitely plan on exploring them more thoroughly.
Anyone recommendations as to which album I should tackle next? |
i suggest looking into Angels of Light and Gira's solo effort Drainland
|
I will be getting back to listening this stuff. I first heard them on the Smack My Crack compilation way back (Still a damn good listen!).
