I'd say that Takk is the only album that sticks out the most that would allow them to be considered an experimental band. Last edited by Key; 05-03-2012 at 11:45 PM. |

I haven't really got to listen to them, though I've thought about it for a while. I read a comment on Youtube of someone saying that Sigur Ros sounds like Radiohead in reverse. If that's true, then I'm sure I'll like it.
Do any of you have any suggestions on which of their albums/songs to start listening to first? |

It's the easier album to get fully through and a great starter album. |

I'm still not sure how I feel about the new song. I like the idea of the band trying something new and going for a more aggressive sound but it doesn't seem to glue together well in my opinion. For example Jonsi's soft vocals seem to contrast with the distorted bass too much. However I still have high hopes for the album and I'm looking forward to hearing it.

I'm pretty much open minded when I hear a new Sigur Ros song, but this one is a bit difficult to wrap my mind around. It's not bad, but it's definitely not what I expect. I'm really stoked to hear that they're releasing a new album though, that's always a plus, especially with this band.
