They definitely seem to be going "mega trippy" as someone said earlier in this thread. It turns out Honeycomb/Gotham was a good indicator of what Centipede will sound like-- here's the first single.

I don't know how I feel about the instruments but vocally I'm really pumped to hear some talking and shrieking and generally weird things from Avey Tare. I always thought he was the better vocalist, and I found MPP's vocals very... safe.

I didnt like Animal Collective the 1st time I heard them in a BOTB thread but after hearing Today's Supernatural, Honeycomb, and Gotham its changing me up. The style is amazing and I really want to get that album. Its different and its awesome!

I have only heard Merriweather Post Pavillion but I believe it'd be safe to start with. It's their best recepted album and very accessible.
