lol. In my head i was all "heh. he said bros" before I even read the next part of the post.
Person Pitch is probably my second favourite album of all the 00s. And just throwin' this out there, but... Person Pitch > Sung Tongs/MPP > Feels > Strawberry Jam |

I'd say Person Pitch = Young Prayer for me, though if forced to chose one as favorite, I'd chose Person Pitch. Then again, I really do like Young Prayer. Something about Panda Bear singing over echoing guitars is great. My Animal Collective/AnCo related is something like:
Sung Tongs > MPP = Person Pitch > Young Prayer > Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished > Here Comes the Indian > Feels > Fall Be Kind > Prospect Hummer > Strawberry Jam |

alright. gonna try and rank all of my animal collective/panda bear
Person Pitch > MPP/Sung Tongs > Feels > Strawberry Jam > Young Prayer > Fall Be Kind > Spirit They're Gone, Spirt They've Vanished > Prospect Hummer > Water Curses > Here Comes The Indian > People > Campfire Songs > Danse Manatee > Hollinndagain i agree about Young Prayer. It's just a really...pretty.. sounding album. Awesome to drift off to sleep to. Untitled 3 is just beautiful. |

Person Pitch is the only Panda Bear album I've heard.
I've no idea why, it's fucking amazing... also one of my favourites of the 00s, probably. I can't wait for the new single, might try and get hold of some of his earlier albums as well in the meantime. |

The moment Animal Collective really sunk it's fangs into me wasn't after I heard MPP, though I did really like that album, it was Peacebone. The vocals totally enthralled me. The beat steadily builds during the chorus, making you want to dance, the voice skips octaves, and my god it's just so damn catchy. Peacbone is still one of my favorite songs of all time, and my 3 favorite Animal Collective songs are on Strawberry Jam, my favorite AC album, the songs being Peacebone, For Reverend Green and Fireworks. The strength of those three songs alone makes me overlook any faults Strawberry Jam may have.
Actually the more I think on it, Who Could Win a Rabbit might be in that top three instead of For Reverend Green. For Reverend Green is number four.
