Merriweather Post Pavillon and Strawberry Jam are both great. Not really into their stuff before 2006 though. I hope that will change

Only listened to it about 3 times. Merriweather Post Pavillon took a lot of listens to get into, now I think it's brilliant. So I'll keep listening to albums before Strawberry Jam, Feels has been the third most appealing album out of them all, so good call

I honestly never understood all the praise Animal Collective gets. I think their tunes are decent but not spectacular.

I went in not knowing about the praise... I think pitchfork does ruin alot of bands ya know? My favorite albums in order are... "Feels", "Here Comes The Indian", "Sung Tongs", and "Merriweather Post Pavillon".

Just a heads up man, don't ever listen to what critics say as they can give you a bad impression about a band, without you even giving them a hear-hear.

I only listen to film critics.. if a film has a % of less than 50 I doubt I'll watch it. I used to never listen to them but after a while I realised they were right. music critics are different though, I think you can tell a bad film a mile off but albums are somehow different.. dunno how but I think they are

I've always thought of most music critics as stoners with some college degree in english who mainly write album reviews to be be "hip".

I liked Animal Collective until Merriweather. I listened to Fall Be Kind a couple times, and I think they're starting to sound more like disney cartoon forest animals than anything truly innovative like Animal Collective used to be.
