I'd say Person Pitch gets pretty busy. The layering in Bros is quite outstanding, actually.

MPP is their most busy album, and not in a very flattering way either. Way too reliant on electronics being put upon one another.

Feels was just right. Strawberry Jam was heading for MPP. Sung Tongs was nothing like Feels, but the two together form AnCo's greatest (in my humble opinion).

I haven't, no. I've only heard maybe 3 tracks, 1 was definitely from 'Feels' (bit annoying) and 1 definitely from 'Merriweather Post Pavilion' (terrible), not sure about the third.

Just don't think it's for me, there's only so many chances you can give a band.

I don't think hearing 3 tracks really qualifies as giving a band a chance. Especially since you like Panda bear.

Feels isn't bad, it's just inconsistent if you listen to single songs. It has 5 great songs, 3 okay ones, and an unforgivable one (FLESH CANOE, **** OFF). Then again, I listen to albums in succession, so it doesn't bug me, cause it sounds great together.

I try to listen to as much music as I can so generally an act only gets 1 song to impress me, by way of radio/a listen on Myspace or whatever. I'm comfortable with that, I think the odds are slim that the 1 track I hear is "the weak one" or just the one that I'm not going to take to or whatever. AC have had a few more bites just by being quite visible in the last couple of years, showing up in the loop a few times.

Panda Bear I saw live on the strength of a mate who convinced me that his stuff was quite different, I loved the show and quickly picked up the LP, which hit home straight away.

I see the 2 as quite distinct for that reason.

Suit yourself. I think you're missing out though.

I think you are missing out. There are plenty of artists that might not impress me overall, but might have one good song that I'll carry with me the rest of my time. Not saying AC is that way, but maybe you haven't found that song to groove to. I've really been digging this song. I'd hook you up with Strawberry Jam so you could give it a good listen or two, but I'm not home, but I know ZZZ and probably 40 other members have it, at least. I dont know your taste in music all that well, but give this song with a trippy vid a listen, it might possibly change your opinion.
I don't mean to seem like I
Care about material things,
Like a social status,
I just want
Four walls and adobe slats
For my girls

The song meaning gets me too, after having a little girl.

Yeah, that song's amazing, and it's very Panda Bear.

The syncopated 'OOOH''s and the little drumstick sample in the final choruses in 'My Girls' get me everytime.

I did a cover of that by myself with a tamborine strapped to my foot and just an acoustic 12 string guitar and it was awesome.
