It's called The Children. I think they also might be playing at that festival. I'd post their myspace, but since I don't have 15 posts yet I can't post urls. They're pretty good though, kinda a local legend around here. You could probably classify it as post-rock.

The Drift has been a highlight for me recently especially with the Jazz tinges. Well worth a listen and a little different to what has become an oversaturated genre.

oh hell yes. that is exactly what i needed.
acquiring now. many thanks, jackhammer! edit - i can confirm that all the tracks on the album are this good. it's hard to classify - lots of downtempo and trip hop elements, lots of strings, great samples... and it's just one guy! seems he's part of Sunday Munich too, who i just discovered yesterday. coincidence? anyway thanks again, great recommendation Last edited by noise; 09-04-2009 at 05:33 AM. |
