You can't find it because of the ****ing search engine... "Sun" and "Ra" are both less than four letters.

Here... next time trying searching up some albums.

Ah - I could've sworn I'd seen a thread on him before. Didn't know about that limitation of the search tool. May as well leave the new "Sun Ran ?" thread alone then (except maybe close it) - it does have a catchy title.
edit: too late - I guess "Sun Ra?" will have to do

The word "fucking" was used because of my dislike for the search engine... not because I'm mad at you Strings. Just wanted to clear that up. Anyone who likes Sun Ra is indeed cool in my book.

I just got myself a Sun Ra shirt the other day... it's amazingly cool as it has a giant head shot of him looking up into the stars with the rest of his band on the bottom of the shirt.

The only Sun Ra that I own and know well is this album: "Outer Spaceways Incorporated" which was a recording session in 1968.

I haven't listened to it in a while but I remember thinking that it was somewhere in the middle of Sun Ra's straight jazz and the psychotic free jazz. A mix of both.
There's some really old stuff (1950s?) by Sun Ra that I have heard that was like regular jazz with a regular groove but still a unique flair...I need to get some old Sun Ra

"Nubians of plutonia" is pretty tame... I think that's from a period when he was doing regular jazz with just a hint of the experimental.

Yeah I have it... I have 61 Sun Ra albums in all. Do you want the torrent?

No, I'll just find the album. I'd never listen to 61 of them.

Thank you, though
