I listened to it again today, and it didn't bore me like it did the first time... but it still didn't do it for me. :(

"Good Morning, Captain" has one of the best build ups and I never get tired of it. Wait, you're the one that prefers "Tweez" to "Spiderland" aren't you?

Oh well, it's alot heavier than "Spiderland". You might like it though.

Spiderland is a huge commitment. You have to listen to it from beginning to end to get it, because the album climaxes. It's bleak, it's dark, but it's also cathartic. It's not a casual listen at all - you have to devote every second of your attention to it, otherwise you'll yawn and give up way too early.
