I haven't made a post in a hell of a long time, but I thought that here would be a great place to stick my foot back into the forum's door, so to speak.

I have been a Can fan for a while now, but just recently (about 3 or so weeks ago), I became utterly and completely enamored with their sound. At this point, I think it's safe to say that these guys have become my all-time favorite band (Until now, The Beatles have consistently been my favorite band for about 5 or so years now). As much as I love the Beatles, I just can't believe the tremendously creative and innovative output Can has. Their music hits me in a way that few other bands can. At this point, I have a total of 8 Can albums, which are:

Monster Movie
Soundtracks
Tago Mago
Ege Bamyasi
Future Days
Soon Over Babaluma
Landed
Delay 1968

My current favorite is Monster Movie. I really dig the raw sound the album consistently carries. The most standout track is obviously "Yoo Doo Right." It's absolutely stellar. The song flows so incredibly well. The tribal drumming, Malcom Mooney's love-letter chanting, the kickass guitar riffs, I could go on... After MM, I'd say that my favorite album would either be Ege Bamyasi or Tago Mago (really tough call). All 8 of the albums that I have are eithier very good or fantastic. I can't believe how consistently great these guys are with their sound.

All hail Krautrock!
