The Contingency Plan/Exit Strategy

IMO the community here SHOULD move. It's been discussed. I hosted my own forum candidate back in the day and I also think we discussed moving to another music forum.

Some reasons:

This site could definitely just disappear one day
Without ownership / control, we can't really develop the site
It has ****ty spambot protection
We KNOW owners don't give enough **** to update forum software or anything

One day the forum will just be gone and you'll have no idea if the site is gonna come back up or not.

It's also a big part of why I don't wanna be a moderator. If I care about something, I wanna work on it and improve it. Musicbanter, as it is, does not reward that sort of ambition. Advameg is basically exploiting us, especially the moderators who work to keep this place spam free so that it can potentially still generate a few ad clicks,.

So I say move to a different forum and let the bots take over.
