I like all sorts of music, , and this thread comes up when searching for grunge forum on google so you probably should have a grunge forum, infact I think you should,
And there are still heaps of grunge bands out there, And not all nirvana fans just want to talk about how he died? There wouldnt be no greenday, no linkin park ect if wasn't for grunge nirvana So I think it deserves its own thread, also you can't really compare rock to grunge, Nirvana to guns and roses? you not only have the Nirvana fans, u have the mudhoney fans, Thats my input nways, as I did find this forum looking for grunge forum although I like all styles of music cheers and great forum by the way |

I strongly doubt a grunge forum would be able to successfully sustain itself on these boards. While there is a fair degree of interest in grunge here, myself included, there is not enough to warrant an entire forum for itself, and grunge isn't as popular as it once was. If you take a look at the Hardcore & Emo or Prog & Psychedelic sub-forums for example you will see that they are certainly not as active as the rest of the forum and I doubt a grunge forum would fare any better.
You also have to take into account that grunge is a difficult genre to pin down, bands like Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains could easily be seen as hard rock bands while bands like Mudhoney, Nirvana and Green River could easily fall under alternative or punk. The whole argument as to what is and what isn't grunge could lead to very few artists being discussed there and a limited number of threads.
