^ Yes I think there's enough evidence of this that nobody disputes it any longer. I think there are carved stones/indications of settlement as far into the interior as the Great Lakes, but the Vikings don't get much credit for their efforts.

If you have ever wondered why mods quit, there is an article about ex-mods that may be insightful; in fact, after reading it I now have a much greater sympathy for our mods and ex-mods. Here's a piece of the article:-
