I thought life was about living.

And identity was about narcissism.

And narcissism is a self preserving survival instinct.

And survival is about living.

And living is ultimately meaningless so we focus on creating these self righteous identities to give meaning to life and justify living. In the end it's all just delusional nonsense to distract yourself from the meaningless of it all. Like how vegans convince themselves they are these grand martyr hero types ignoring the fact that majority of the utilities we enjoy and take advantage of comes at the expense of somebody else who suffers for it. But nobody likes acknowledging how our privileged lives exist on the backs of those who are less fortunate because it shatters the illusion of their self justifying identity.
