Vegangelica said some very kind things about me, one of the few that ever did - that's part I miss. There's other stuff I don't miss so much - no, not at all.

Chula Vista and Trollheart are constantly spilling their guts, especially the former, the latter needs provocation from The Batlord. So it's like even though the thread is gone it comes back in spirit every so often in other threads.

While I'm not in any way advocating or asking for a ban for anyone, I feel that it should be noted that someone here has broken the rule quoted in the OP, basically trying to bait someone else into a flame war or to try to push them off the forum through harassment. We all know who I refer to. Can it please be reiterated that this is not acceptable behaviour, especially when it clearly affects the targeted member so seriously?

It was a discussion about racism and someone took offense to being called racist. That's just kinda how those discussions go. You can't tweak the rules to please every thin-skinned baby.

No, disagree with you both. YD came out and made a remark about RS without any provocation, referring back to previous posts. That's not on. That's ****ing harassment. There was no need for that comment, and then YD goes and says "oh if he didn't keep saying insensitive things" or something. Which RS did not. YD just used a previous, already responded to comment/post as a way to have another dig at the guy.

No, the thing is you have that arse-about-face Kiii. YD made his comment in the "Genres suggestions" thread, where RS said he was out, he'd had enough of the threads. It was only AFTER this uncalled-for comment that RS then made his thread, in a direct response to, and as a direct result of, that snide comment.

But my point is he couldve confronted YD personally and privately. Rs instead decided to get the whole forum involved. So it's on him.

I maintain the above quote was unnecessary and very provocative, could even be seen as inflammatory. All against the rules. Nah Rubber Soul had made passive aggressive comments in other threads for no reason and it was annoying. Much like a sober version of my Jaws ****posting. Awesome movie btw.

I don't disagree that it could've potentially been provoked, but the situation was reacted to poorly as well. YD isn't hard to talk to. He just calls you out when you spout bs. Sometimes it's warranted, some maybe not. However I still think it could've been defused and avoided without the thread calling for attention to it. That's my 2 cents on i. Again I'm basically going from an outsider perspective but I also understand that threads like the one rs posted does more bad than good.

Bolded 1: yes he is, and I speak from experience. He gets entrenched in his position and won't give an inch. I once had him on Ignore for this very reason; could not talk to the guy.

Bolded 2: Agreed, but my sympathies are with RS, and not just because he's a mate. He's had problems here before and I think people could cut him a little slack. I'd definitely recommend though that he grow a thicker skin, or consider leaving for his own good.

@ YD: If you're reading, I'd like to see where RS made specific racist posts or posts that could be taken as racist, other than to point out that he, and I, for that matter, come from that era, which does not necessarily mean we support what was seen as normal at the time. I wasn't at Selma, or Brixton, or Soweto. Just because we both lived through those times does not make us inherently racist. But show me a post, please, to prove your point. The ones you quoted in his thread don't do that.

But even at that, BOTH RS and YD should have been warned if that's the case. And really, is that the best you can do to prove RS is saying racist stuff? I noticed you and Frown both took the same post - which, as I said, was clearly a joke - so do I take it from that there are no other instances of RS being racist? Or just that you're both lazy? Cos none of those prove a goddamn thing.
