Neo always brings the jams.

Plus he's a kind person.

You're not wrong at all, two of my all-time favorite albums are David Bowie's Low and Brian Eno's Another Green World, both of which heavily influenced my music

Oh. Lucky guess then

YorkeDaddy 08-01-2018 10:06 AM

How is it lucky when you took very relevant context clues and drew a conclusion based on it

Key 08-01-2018 10:07 AM

That's a good point.

Considering his batting average with logical conclusions I'd say luck was a factor.

Except Androgynous, but that’s still a killer track

Funny thing is that I bet you both appreciate the same niche of ambient.

YorkeDaddy 08-01-2018 12:51 PM

Yes I love Husker Du, Minutemen, Black Flag, etc

YorkeDaddy 08-01-2018 12:55 PM

Husker Du and Minutemen have a lot of similarities to me, don't know why you'd like one and not the other

YorkeDaddy 08-01-2018 01:15 PM

I'll definitely agree that Minutemen's peak > Husker Du's peak

I'll also state that Wire > all of these bands

Chairs Missing is my favorite Wire album tho

look at you two, it's a match made in pretension heaven

Plankton 08-01-2018 01:53 PM

I'll just go ahead and rename the thread "The Handling of Punk Discussion Going Backwards".

It's only fitting that the off-topic discussion is about Punk tho. Rules? **** rules. Amirite.

Now look at this, Batlord, it's the red and white stripes of the American flag with blue spray paint on it. That's totally punk.

The P and the E look like spray paint dripping down too, that's totally punk.

The acronym dots after the P and the E are both pentagrams, totally edgy punk.

The words 'Only In Amerika' are in old english. Absolutely hardcore gangster punk right there.

And he spelled 'America' with a K instead of a C to show you how he will not be restricted by societies rules on spelling. That's ****ing punk.

And of course a parental advisory sticker.

Surprised this isn't Elphs avatar it's so punk.

Edit: It's a T.V. with a star, he's totally saying we're being brain washed by the media, sooooo ****ing punk.

Lucem Ferre 08-01-2018 09:02 PM

I found an avatar for [merit] too!

I saw them facepainted and touring with ICP talking about how emo girls need juggalo dick and that's how I'll always remember them.

What about The Clue? Remember them as The Clue.

Edit: Now that's punk!!!!

I want to read this thread (already read page 1)

Can someone help me out though (in all seriousness), what page does this thread stop talking about what it started as and transition into whatever it is now?

Going by MB standards, probably page 2.

Surprisingly, no. Page 2 ends with a really poignant video that gets the point of the thread across.

I guess I'll just expect a shift at any page from now on.

Trollheart 08-13-2018 02:52 PM

Page 2? I don't know how many posts display per page for you, but that's page 15 for me!

Anyway, it seems to start when I had my meltdown over Batty maligning my sister. Post 160. Knock yourself out.
Some good readin' in there. Most of which I am NOT proud of having written.

Really? Is there a way for me to change how many posts I want displayed?

Actually, again, from what I can tell that still says pretty on topic. You open a dialogue that goes on for at least a page regarding AIDS related comments. It may have been in reference to an entirely different discussion but that discussion was pertinent to the matter at hand and people took it seriously.

To be honest I would have thought so, but I checked the user CP and there's no option, nor is there one in the thread options. I know Frownland, I think, sees about half as many posts as I do per page, but maybe that's because he's a mod? Or maybe it's dependent on your browser? I never set anything up, and I can't see any way to change it, but someone else might know.

Frownland 08-14-2018 08:04 AM

User CP->Edit Options->Number of Posts to Show Per Page

BassoonPlatoon 08-15-2018 12:47 AM

Oh, cool, this is helpful information and information that would likely avoid arguments as to which page a certain thing is on in the future.

Thanks for sharing :) Much appreciated.
