No. It's not a cloaking device. He'll be able to see you as usual. All a VPN does is fool the network into believing you're in another country. For instance, if you wanted to see a show that Netflix said was only available in the US, the VPN will make it seem as if you are in the USA. Your actual physical presence remains the same, and no human would be fooled, just computers. Cos, you know, they're stoopid.
Very true. The worst is NordVPN. However you can turn them on and off as you need them. Not recommended to leave one on permanently. I found it reduces your connection speed by at least 50% and that's if you're lucky. It's a juggling act. No Batty, not a juggalo act...

When I was a Super at the writing forum, we had a member that was using multiple accounts, a Sock puppet if you will. The owner was finally able to block her (we had determined that it was a woman) IP address so she resorted to using VPN. It slowed her down considerably and she eventually faded away. Moral of the story- VPN is not something I'd recommend.

All of which is true. However VPNs do allow you to see content or connect to sites you otherwise would not be able to. I'm unable to access most of the torrent sites I use without one, so I switch it on and off as I need. It's merely a suggestion for Dianne's friend, as she is having a problem seeing certain YT videos which are restricted in her country. In the end, it's up to her whether she uses one or not. There are drawbacks, certainly, but there are also advantages to be had by using a VPN.

Ok go all that..it was two reasons to help her and myself but somebody else is sorting out the shi*te bag and the friend is in South Africa so like me some times can't receive all ..see if you can get this link.. and see if it works...
