I'll vouch for bob. frownie and isbjorn any day. I don't much about know Sidewinder, but hey if they (the other mods) picked him he has to be right person for mod. bob. is one of the nicest and coolest people here, has decent taste and knows his music. I can't say enough about him.

Just a question, remembering I do NOT want to or have the time to be a mod, but for information: where/when were the interviews or how was this decided, as I wouldn't like to think there's some shadowy black govt illuminati powerbase behind MB, pulling the strings and making us all dance like --- owww! Who pulled my strings? Seriously though: what happens when new mods are sought? Is it PM? Is there a thread hidden away somewhere where one applies, or are prospective members (ooh yeah! Prospects! Let the Sons of Anarchy reign!) approached by the team? I have no problem with any system you use, just wondering how it's done.

Considering how long you've been here, your thoughtful posts about music (imagine that! Someone posting about music!), your refusal to get involved in drama and the fact that you seem to have had the same avatar since I joined, I think you're more than qualified and even if you're not as high profile as some others, that does not make you less worthy to be a mod. Congrats.

It just shows his level of inactivity. Either way, as Freebase said, stuff going on behind the scenes that requires additional mods and Sidewinder has the respect of long time members so whatever. It just seemed unnecessary to me. I wasn't trying to start drama I was just curious about the reasoning. I should have worded it better.

I don't know if was unnecessary... I didn't read this whole thread from beginning to end. I'm not faulting you for any drama.

I think it's possible that there are members who don't know each other just from where they post. I think it's more about what circle they move in. I hate to think about it, but yeah the forum is slower than it was.
