My avatar has all of a sudden turned into an annoying little "X" and I have no idea why.
Those "X"s usually turn up when a website cuts off access to an image, right? But my avatar is stored in my computer, in a file whose code looks more or less like this:- C:\Users\Me\avatar.bmp So in the User PC, I went to Edit Avatar > Use Custom Avatar > Upload image from computer and put that code into the Examine box. But when I click on "Save Changes", nothing happens. ![]() I´ve checked that the image I have is just 80x80 pixels, so if anyone has the patience to suggest what I should try next, I would be very grateful indeed.

I don't even understand how you people get a big avatar in the first place. I know it must be explained somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. If I need to request it from a mod, then how do I do so?

What are you using to crop? And are you sure that you're cropping and not just resizing?

Ja the issue is most likely with the image itself.
I usually crop using ms paint. You can also use imgur or find a good site with a basic crop function in a Google search. Cropping shouldn't be affecting the quality of your images.

I just use Imgur. It used to **** up photos when you cropped them but now it's fine and takes two seconds.
