Equal means that everyone receives punishment for breaking rules. To rid this site of favoritism which might otherwise protect a rule breaking member is one of the most important ideas behind this suggestion.

Consistent means that enforcement follows as a predictable consequence whenever a rule is broken and that enforcement of that rule happens in a predictable way, ex. always with a PM stating the cause and an amount of infractions that you can gauge beforehand.

This is at the heart, soul and goal of the philosophy behind the suggestion.

It's your idea, so of course you think the title is accurate. If I were to have made the thread, I'd think "Do You Want More Rules and Infractions?" would be pretty accurate as well.

Now, now. Let's keep it civil and on-topic. Wouldn't want to get an infraction.

Can't just be Martin's preference?

I suspect Martin is voting according to social pressures rather than any informed opinion he's made up for himself.

Of course you do, it's your proposal, but nevertheless it's an exceptionally loaded way of asking the question.

Not really. I am not proposing more rules and you would only get more infractions if you were breaking the rules.

"Would you like more rules enforcement?" would be better.

See the problem is if he quit like 20 pages ago, he would come off less like a used car salesman. Now it just seems like you want us to buy a lemon because it's only been driven to church by a little old lady on Sundays.

And are there lemon laws that go with this change if the vote finds that this is what should be done?

My goal is to improve on how this site is run and for this reason, I am proposing a policy to ensure equal treatment of members and consistent rules enforcing. The intention is idealistic.

What else should I call it? "Do You Want To Turn MB Into A Police State?" I don't want that.

Does it have to be? I've never had a problem with them or any of the mods so I'm not gonna read pages of posts discussing it. I am happy with them, I think they are fine as they are and have done throughout my e-career.

If there is a change rest assured I will adhere fully to the rules.

This will be my last post on it because I really couldn't care less m8.

Social pressures :D

Give over, I haven't read the first thread, saw the question asked so I answered it. I had no idea what anyone else thought.

Well that really says loads about your perception of Martin. Because over the last 2 years I have never seen, Fluffykittens, Monkeytennis, Martin or whatever the **** he wants to be called that day go with something because he felt like the herd was moving that way.
