Lots of discussions about reforms etc.
Whatever happened to a cup if tea, a calm head and bags of common sense?
Has MB changed that much to warrant the way its moderated.
Genuinly curious...

I've not been on as long as Janzsoon or tore, but I can safely say that MB is still quite similar to how it was when I joined. It's just that there are different members ergo somewhat different standards of what is acceptable.

I don't like the system because context can play an immense part in the literal content of what people are saying.

There's a lot of discussion, but to put it simply, I see it a bit like the following silly metaphor.

For years we've been lighting our fires by bashing rocks together, but it turns out there's been a perfectly functional lighter lying around the whole time and noone's learned to use it the right way. I'm trying to get people to use it properly.

The lighter in this silly metaphor is the infractions system. I think the people behind vbulletin had some good ideas when they thought it up and using it correctly will make rule enforcement better and also in many ways simpler.

I don't think we need new mods, Im sad we keep insulting the ones we still have standing.
We could use a couple more mods sure, but all new ones no.I don't partake in mutiny its bad form.
But Id like to point out its 17-9 . 17- no, 9 yes. That speaks volumes. Why are we still atempting a ku?

Yeah, I'll support the infraction system if you all just shut up already.

Seriously, this poll is going to be needed to be posted within the next few days at the latest. I realize you want to get this right, but public opinion is clearly plummeting into indifference at this point.

Plus as Roxy noted it's 17 to 9, and the 2 to 1 trend ain't changing anytime soon. It's done. Goose is cooked. Fat lady has sung. Toss it out in the trash and let's move on.

I know you guys are excited and impatient about the poll, but I just wanna make sure it's good before I post it.

I don't have time today, but maybe I can get it up tomorrow.

The poll is in favor of No, and yet you're still willing to keep going with new polls? If you haven't already noticed, 3 or 4 different people have started threads basically mocking yours in an attempt to bring this entire thing to a stop or to suggest new things for something that really doesn't need to change.

It's probably for the best if you and everyone else involved just puts this to rest at last.

And if not, it's really not my place to say, but you're really making it hard for people to want to post anywhere like they used to due to this becoming a plague on the forum.
