This is one of the things tore posted on his other thread. If this forum enforces rules like this, it will just drive members away.

The way things are now has driven a lot of members away and will continue too. This forum is not very welcoming and pretty soon it will just been the same ol people here and nobody new, not that you guys care but just saying.

IMO, the current moderator team needs to change. I don't think a moderator should enforce rules based on their own personal discretion of what THEY personally feel constitutes as an infraction.

I think there needs to be a universal system that is equal for all its members. This is not something that is currently being done.

Therefore, there would need to be all new moderators or at least a a different rule system that all moderators should have to follow when moderating the forums.

I know what you're going on about, and I'm with you on that.

I guarantee you, if more mods are appointed and these new rules are enforced, you'll (well not you but you know) just drive more members away.

I agree with you Soulflower.

Only spammers should be struck by the permanent banhammer imo.

BUT this current system (no rules or infractions) has driven many members away.

Rules have been enforced and people have been banned though - I can think of two well known members that have gone who I don't believe should have been permanently banned.

I am actually on your side Soulflower

I just think some of the shit tore posted is too easy to abuse. You will have people being punished for the square root of fuck all.

I don't think rules have been enforced enough.

I also question the validity of one of those bans which I personally feel was done because moderators did not like the person versus the person being an actual threat or disruption to the board.

I also agree with the example you gave which was a very good example you gave might I add.

I think the rules can always be tweaked (you are right with that) however I think having a rule and infraction system should be implemented and enforced.

I also think there should be all new moderators

The way things are currently done around here, has no rules or infractions given. The moderators allow people to do whatever they want.
