For what it's worth Plug has a great vibe going on right now. (Shhhh, Plankton's in!)
Agree, enough with the chatter. Make a decision. This is reminding me of a school yard fight where no one ends up throwing a punch.

Can we please stop talking about Plug? It's a separate site owned by completely different people. MB's rules and Tore's proposals with regard to those rules have nothing to do with Plug and therefore discussion of Plug is completely off topic for this thread.

*backs away from thread*
Jebus Christ, the mood around this place just won't get positive. It's been weeks of BS and bad vibes. WTH? Change the rules. Don't change the rules. Move on.

My post wasn't directed at you if that's what you're thinking. It was directed at the almost entire page of Plug discussion right before us. You just happened to post in between the moment I clicked "reply" and the moment I clicked "submit reply".

You scared me man! And I was all chillin.
Seriously though, this thread needs to find a resolve for the sake of MB. Folks sitting on the outside looking in, waiting to see what happens.

Haven't got much time, so will try to be brief.
Fiddler, I pretty much agree with your list of suggestions Someone brought up Sansa. Her, Dirty, Captain Caveman and others who were disruptive on this site could have been kept in check with a proper system. Possibly. At least perpetual rulebreaking would keep them tempbanned for a lot of the time. I think part of the reason they acted disruptive was that they felt they could get away with it. They may have been tempbanned or moderated somehow before the final permban, giving them some warning, but that would have been punitive action out of the usual to them which would have made it a personal conflict with the mods here. They'd probably just get more uppity from that. As a way to make a member better behaved, it is not very effective. As a way to get them permbanned, it is eventually effective. As for the mod team should the decision be made to implement this suggestion (or some form of it), I think it should be bolstered with new mods. I wouldn't want to be a moderator on the site the way it is run now because it would only frustrate me, but I would be willing to help out with implementation. Plus, there could be members here already suited for the job who could help and I would also suggest contacting other ex-mods and see if they'd be on board with it.

Sansa did get temp banned. Several times. The last time was an automatic perma ban.

Anyways, however many times she was tempbanned, a system of infractions might have multiplied that number. Or probably not because she would either get tired of being temp banned and so would clean up her act or she would leave. If she somehow circumvented the system, then good old judgment that you all love would be required. edit : By the way, any comments to this? Quote:
