I think that's pretty unfair. You don't exactly make huge meaningful contributions yourself so I don't see how/why you would be able to make a statement like that. I also can't think of who you mean; nobody here has given me that sort of impression, apart from the odd ill-advised post and we all make them from time to time.

Like I said in the thread, inappropriate if he wasn't asked about it, consulted about it or, if you like, warned about it beforehand. I feel it could have come across as (even unintentionally) quite condescending and embarrassing. Just what I think though. Nice sentiment, possibly approached the wrong way?
