I don't rarely find anything in that thread offensive, it's just offensively dull. It's been a slog to read lately. While consistently getting way more attention than any of the other threads on the site.

That's not my impression of this place at all. You make it sound like MB is the school cafeteria, where everyone sits in their little cliques and circles, throwing insults at each other. In reality, MB is more like a classroom, where all of the students despite their backgrounds are united in common turmoil. :yeah:

Alright, in all seriousness, I've never seen a serious fight/rivalry last more than a few minutes around here, and everyone always apologizes afterwards. If the owners want to clean the place up, that's really all there is to it, however I still feel like I should say that I don't know why everyone is so quick to talk about how MB is "degenerating". Everyone I've met so far has been insanely nice, even when we've had disagreements. The music forums still have great and serious discussions, and the lounge is a fantastic way to get to know everyone better. Also, Plug isn't as empty as it was when I first joined, which is awesome!

Was the SYG thread a haven for intellectual discussion? Hell no. But I talked more with everyone on MB in that one thread than I did in all of the other threads and sub-forums combined, and I learned a whole lot about them that I otherwise would have missed. Being able to cut loose and just spill about whatever was a great release, and the confrontational nature of it kind of forced me into interacting with people that I initially avoided. But the thing is, when I actually did interact with those people, I ended up liking and respecting them. So the SYG had it's issues, and I can understand why it's being locked down, but I feel like at least one person should come out and admit that it wasn't entirely some abomination of pure evil.
