I assume since they pay to keep the site up, they just do whatever is necessary to keep the forum up and running. Any of the user friendly things aren't priority.

I'm surprised they even answered. Most of the requests, according to the mods, just get ignored.

Visitor Message notification is a good idea, but I guess just check your profile more, or someone could send you a PM telling you you have a VM ... nah that's stupid.

Incidentally, MT, what were you gonna say about journals? I'm intrigued, since you say you don't read any (you should try it)...

Dunno, either an active mod to keep on top of the posts that need to be approved or have members with high post counts not need approval for their posts.

Not sure what you mean by an active mod approving the posts for the journals. I think they get approved quickly enough. The reason they need to be approved in the first place is to avoid spammers getting into people's journals and filling them up with spam. It's much easier when they can just delete the posts without the public eye seeing them. The current process works just fine imo.
